SEABROOK ISLAND FIRE STATION NO. 2

ST. JOHNS FIRE DISTRICT     SEABROOK ISLAND, SOUTH CAROLINA

This 7,000 square feet fire station replaced an existing fire station structure on site, which was undersized for current requirements of the Fire Department. It's a drive-through facility and the apparatus bay can accommodate up to 2 trucks. The size of the site constrains the building footprint and therefore the majority of the residential space is located above the apparatus bay. The residential portion includes bunks for a rotating staff of 8, lockers for full staff, living/kitchen area, workout room, and laundry facility. The nature of the exterior was designed to keep in character with the surrounding Seabrook Island structures.
