“...
we are delighted in the comforts and attractiveness of
our school. The
building makes great use of daylight
and helps our classrooms and common
areas be particularly appealing. The
students are thrilled to have such a
beautiful building.”
Dianne Riccardi, Principal
McClellanville Middle School
Located in the heart of a small,
tightly knit fishing village, the abandoned 1910 two story wood frame
and brick
elementary school house was converted into a modern middle school.
The work included the complete interior gutting and rebuilding of the
existing building, the construction of a new 10- classroom two-story
addition, a new cafeteria, a new kitchen, and the
relocation of the existing gym building.
The conversion of this decaying structure became a catalyst for the
revitalization of a modest rural community. |
