A steeply sloped and heavily wooded corner site presented the opportunity  for the design of this house to conform to the contours of the lot, minimizing the disturbance of the natural environment. By placing the house at the edge of a slope, an open area was created on the upper level for outdoor recreation while maintaining privacy with natural borders of the site. The house cascades down the slope with the main living areas positioned on the upper floor and private quarters and children’s areas below.
